Urgent call out for volunteer Flower Arrangers and Flower Buyers

Help! We are desperately seeking flower arrangers, and people with experience in buying flowers, to enhance the beauty of the Cathedral with great floral arrangements.  Please contact Moira Phillips on flowerguild@stdavidscathedral.org.uk, or by phone on Thursdays on 01437 720202.

We are always looking for VOLUNTEERS!

Here are some of the roles we have for volunteers:

  • Sidespeople, stewards and servers to support services of worship
  • Tour guides, especially those with fluency in one or more of the following languages: Welsh, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish
  • Translators from English into written Welsh
  • Vergers
  • Event stewards for concerts, conferences and other events in the Cathedral
  • Welcomers to give a warm welcome to and answer questions from visitors - and to encourage visitors to give a donation too!
  • Library research helpers.

Volunteering posts are open to everyone, and days/times can be arranged to suit you, whether you want to give a day a month or an hour a week - it's up to you.

We welcome enquiries about volunteering to improve work skills, gain work experience, work towards the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme, or simply become a part of the Cathedral community.

Please email Judith Leigh, Chief Operating Officer, on judith@stdavidscathedral.org.uk to arrange an initial chat.
