Friday Prayers at St Davids Shrine

On Fridays at Noon

Prayers for pilgrims are said every Friday at noon, at the Shrine of St David. We don’t know where exactly in the valley St David lived and came close to God in prayer. But since the 14th Century, this shrine – beautifully restored nearly 10 years ago – has been the place where pilgrims have focussed their prayers to David’s God and ours. Friday pilgrim prayers are generally led by a member of the Cathedral Chapter – the senior clergy of the Diocese of St Davids who are the governing body of the Cathedral.
