The St Davids Cathedral Festival has been responsible for bringing classical music to the heart of West Wales for the past 32 years. For nine days annually in May and June (during the Spring Bank Holiday week) the cathedral is host to a feast of classical and contemporary music concerts under the artistic direction of Alexander Mason, the Organist and Master of the Choristers.

The perfect acoustic and stunning architecture of the Nave, including its unique sixteenth century oak ceiling, provide a concert venue unrivalled in Wales. The style of the concerts is extremely varied; in addition to both early and late evening concerts featuring top professionals (soloists, chamber music ensembles, choral, jazz and orchestral groups) there are also a series of afternoon recitals in which young musicians are offered a platform. With appearances from some of the finest musical artists in the UK, the festival has built up a reputation as one of the greatest classical music festivals in Wales.

This year's festival has now finished and next year's festival will take place from Friday 27 May - Sunday 5 June 2011. The programme for the 2010 festival is still available on the Festival - Programme page on the website to give visitors some idea of the scope of this important event.
